LU is first and foremost the story of a passion shared by two biscuit-makers: Jean-Romain Lefèvre and Pauline-Isabelle Utile, which began in 1846.From this union was born LU (Lefèvre-Utile) and its ambition to create the world's finest cookies in the world.


Louis, the couple's youngest son, took over the reins of the LU company and established himself as a true visionary. He revolutionized manufacturing with the opening of a huge cookie factory on the Quais de Loire.


In 2008, LU joined forces with French farmers to grow wheat using agricultural practices that were more respectful of the environment and local biodiversity.
