The Mediterranean climate of the region surrounding Sarroca de Lérida, a village in the north-east of the Spanish province of Lleida, is ideal for growing Arbequina olive trees. Here, as in very few other olive-growing regions in the world, the cultivation process remains organic, and harvesting is done by hand so as not to bruise the fruit and thus harm the quality of the oil. VEA extra virgin olive oil comes from the first extraction process of selected Arbequina olives. This process is carried out in a cold environment without pressure. VEA extra virgin olive oil is renowned for its delicate, fragrant flavour.
